The Kingdom of Heaven is like three men who each find a chest of buried treasure.
The first man takes his chest home, tucks it away in his closet, and thinks himself a rich man.
The second examines some pieces of his treasure and finds them to be forgeries. The second man promptly informs his friends of his discovery and discards his chest of treasure.
Upon hearing the news, the first man chooses to ignore his friend and leaves his chest unexamined in his closet.
The third man takes his chest of treasure and examines every piece until finding a pearl of true worth. The third man then discards the forgeries, uses the chest to store his belongings, and trades the pear1 for life everlasting.
