I'm an author and writer. My dream and goal is to be able to work on my craft full time, earning a modest living.
I'm optimistic, but I also have to be honest. It's exhausting competing with Robots and Con-artists.
I'm a self-published, indie author. What should be an avenue to subvert corporate greed and control has been co-oped by the same leaches looking to make a quick buck at the expense of whoever is gullible enough. Not to mention the collateral damage of edging out those who genuinely work hard at and love what they do.
And now, with AI right around the corner, it's only going to get much worse. We are about to enter a world of fake, low effort content having higher and higher levels of deceptive quality.
I hope to see and be a part of a group of humans who band together against grifted creation. I want an Organic Creator's Union. I want Certified Organic content created by humans, for humans, that is ethically sourced and doesn't take advantage of another in any part of its actualization.
I dream of a world, quite unlike the one we live in, where scammers loose and the artist wins. I dream of a world where creation is valued overconsumption.
